2011/2012 Race Rules & Information

 

•      The race will be held the weekend of February 18 & 19, 2012 (weather permitting).
•      Shipping will be on Saturday, 2/18 at the Menifee Rural Center. Lunch will be served for all entrants by In-N-Out Burger again.
•      Race day is February 19, 2012. The birds will be released from Benton, California, 300 miles. The race loft is located at 27145 Wickerd Road, Menifee, California. Lunch will be catered at the loft for participants only.
•      Birds remain property of entrants, no bonds or buy back! Unless bird entries are not paid, then they become property of the Late Hatch Classic.
•      Accepting birds May 15 to August 1, replacements until August 15.
•      Upon arrival, all birds will be vaccinated for Pox, PMV and paratyphoid.
•      Perch fees 1 bird - $125.00, 4 birds for $400.00 or 7 birds for $500.00
•      (Perch fee must accompany birds)
•      Entry Fees $200.00 per bird due on or before shipping.
•      15% of all Capital and Pools will be deducted for expenses.
•      First drop splits capital and pools equally. All other drops split capital equally. The pools are paid in clocking order after first drop.
•      All birds will go to the 300-mile race. If entry fee is not paid, the birds become property of the Late Hatch Classic.
•      The race stays open until 6:00 PM the second day. If all prizes are not filled by 6:00 PM second day, the prizes will be paid accordingly between clocked birds.
•      We will have a 400-mile rematch race two weeks after the 300 if we have at least 150 entries. The 400 will pay capital only to the first 10% of birds.
•      Arrangements must be made no later than March 24, 2012 to ship entries back to the owners at $60.00 per box. After March 24, 2012, remaining birds become the property of the Original Late Hatch Classic.
•      The Race Committee will settle any disputes or unforeseen circumstances. Their Decision will be final.

Capital Prizes based on 500 birds going to the Race:

1^st - $16,000                 4^th - $4,000

2^nd - $10,000                5 Thru 15 - $2,000

3^rd - $7,000                  16 Thru 41 -  $1,000
